Bags, post and refunds

Roasted Tuesday, in the post Wednesday

Orders in by Monday 5 pm go in that week’s roast. Each parcel is a padded kraft mailer that fits a letterbox, so nobody has to be home.

If a coffee does not suit you, tell us within 30 days, opened or not, and we send a different one or refund the bag. A damaged parcel is replaced on the next roast at no cost.

Sizes, stock, post

Before the bag lands

Still deciding between two coffees? Write the brewer you use and how you take it, and Tom will pick for you.

Is a 1 kg bag the same coffee as the 250 g?

Yes, from the same Tuesday roast, packed in one kraft bag with a one-way valve. It costs $72, or $64.80 on a subscription, and suits a household getting through more than two bags a month.

Can I order two different grinds of the same coffee?

Add a note when you order, for example “one bag espresso, one bag whole bean”. Each bag is ground separately and the ground-for box on its label is ticked to match.

How do I know what is in stock?

Each label says it in words: “In stock”, “Only 6 bags left” when a lot is nearly gone, or “Sold out” with the date of the next roast. Stock is counted after every Tuesday roast.

Why is the Gesha only 125 g?

It is a 12 kg lot from one farm in Boquete and costs us about four times a regular coffee. A 125 g bag makes eight careful filter cups, which is enough to taste it properly without the bag going stale.

Do you post to Western Australia and Tasmania?

Yes, at the same $9.50 tracked rate. Allow six to eight days to Perth and five to Hobart. Subscription bags are free everywhere in Australia.

Hold a bag of the Boquete Gesha

The next 12 kg are roasted on Tuesday 17 November. Waitlist names are offered a bag first, at the same $46 for 125 g, before it goes on the list. Nothing is charged until you say yes.

So the offer email is addressed to you.

One email on 16 November, nothing else.

Limit two per household so the lot goes round.
